Near-Death Experience
There are many testaments of life after death, they are referred to as near-death experiences. Countless incidents of near death have been documented by doctors, scientists, first responders, and clergy. No particular religion has a corner on this type of consciousness. Believers and non-believers alike have experienced death and lived to tell about it. What is most interesting is the commonality of the experience. The majority of death survivors have witnessed four common occurrences. 1) The sensation of detachment from their physical body as though they are floating above it. 2) Passing through a large portal into a bright light. 3) An overwhelming sense of peace, and love. 4) The presence of mysterious beings that communicate telepathically. As strange as this may sound it follows the biblical transformation from physical to spiritual existence.
Many people, young and old alike, prefer to use theoretical science as their frame of reference rather than the Bible. So, here are some things to think about. Physics is the study of time and space and how it relates to physical matter. In general, most physicists share a passionate desire to prove that life is an accident; however, the more they learn the more they uncover the possibilities of creation. For example, physicists devoted to the subject, including Albert Einstein, concede that the universe contains multiple dimensions. If this is true then the existence of a parallel universe is a definite possibility. In 2012, a device called Large Hadron Collider managed to smash a couple of protons exposing a particle that had never been observed before. The Higgs Bosom particle had been only a theory prior to the experiment. This new find, affectionately called the God Particle, appears to be an unknown symmetry (law of nature). An element not associated with the known material universe. The Higgs particle is still open to discussion in parts of the scientific community but makes for an interesting study. Academic minds of our time are intrigued by the possibility of twin worlds from different dimensions.
Although many people have moved from one world to the other, and back again to tell about it, the account of Jesus is the best example. After he died at the hands of the Romans he could access both the physical and spiritual dimensions and was recognized after his death by many people. His body composition had changed but he retained the scares of his fatal wound to prove he was Jesus of Nazareth the risen Savior. “The day was Sunday, and that same evening the followers were together. They had the doors locked because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them. He said, “Peace be with you! As soon as he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. When the followers saw the Lord, they were very happy. (John 20:19-20) Life after death is a certainty!
