The Christmas Story 2020

There is more than enough bad news this Christmas season to send everyone to the medicine cabinet for a couple of Tylenol or a bag of cannabis. All but 14 states have legalized medical marijuana, 15 of those states legalized marijuana for recreational purposes. It won’t be long before everyone will have marijuana gummies in their cabinet. That’s right, the stress of the 21st century is creating a generation of psychedelic devotees that will soon have access to all the pot they can afford. The keyword is recreational, it implies a buzz will follow. No worries everything is mellow! Just trip down to the local cannabis store and pick up a box of chocolates for a friend, they will love you for it. Cannabis is just a fancy word for pot, it doesn’t sound so, ah, dope’ish. It's not just for young people, before long grandma will be tossing pot-laced gummies down like vitamins. Mind-altering drugs are already a big hit with the geriatric crowd, something goes wrong, just pop a tranquilizer. It all sounds so innocent after all it's legal but wait a minute, so is Gin, another legal drug that wrecks homes, ruins careers, and leads to an aimless life. Anything to escape reality. The moral value of our nation is under attack and there is only one way out.

The lack of moral values is the result of the sin-virus that weaves its way through mankind in an attempt to overthrow the kingdom of God. The plan was developed by the enemies of God and designed to infect every person. God's vaccine for sin was distributed on the first Christmas night two thousand years ago when Jesus was born. The birth of Jesus not only defeated sin but provided an abundant life to all who would accept the vaccination. “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.”(John 10:10) The Son of God was born to die for the benefit of all who will accept the grace of God. This is what Christmas is about. The Christmas celebration of 2020 has been highjacked by Santa Claus, drugs and hopelessness. All intended to camouflage the true meaning of Christmas.
