Christian Responsibility
God, in His infinite wisdom, has provided a clear picture of what the future will bring. It is a sad but honest evaluation of the decline of the Christian faith. It’s safe to say the modern state of Christianity is in free-fall. “And who is the greatest liar? The one who says that Jesus is not Christ. Such a person is antichrist, for he does not believe in God the Father and in his Son.”(1John 2:22) Presently, two groups share the majority of the antichrist sentiment, Humanism, and Islam. Humanism suggests that men are gods unto themselves and need no deity. Islam is a more recent ideology whose express purpose is to rid the world of any memory of “God the Father and his Son.” Their battle cry is to subvert or kill the infidel. “But the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some in the church will turn away from Christ and become eager followers of teachers with devil-inspired ideas.”(1Tim. 4:1)
Today's humanist has made science his god. He rejects the idea that life was created and/or governed by God, he lives and believes a lie. On the other hand, introducing Sharia law is the mission of Islam. The method is simple and effective. Grow Muslim populations in foreign countries and then vote your heads of government into office. It is estimated that within 20 years, Europe, the US, UK, Australia, etc. will have large enough Muslim populations to do just that. Some Christian church denominations have already surrendered to a mix called Chrislam. The Bible predicted that a great falling away from Christian faith would precede the second coming of Jesus Christ. “Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians. (1Thess 2:3)
This news is discouraging only to non believers, the soon return of Jesus to earth is the best news anyone can hear. So, what is a Christian to do through this painful transition? Jesus left clear instructions! "He said to them, “Go everywhere in the world. Tell the Good News to everyone.”(Mark 16:15) Have you told a friend or a loved one the good news that Jesus saves and is coming again? This is the mission of the Church. Humbly tell someone the truth. There is a formula for this simple request. One person plants the seed of faith, another comes along and waters it, but God is the one that makes it grow.“I planted the seed, and Apollos watered it. But God is the one who made the seed grow.”(1Co. 3:6) There is no arguing or persuading, no force or coercing just telling the truth and then let God take over.
