The Death of Walk-In Retail
Have you been to your local retail center lately? You may be surprised to see the store you loved to shop has been boarded up. In fact, you might see the entire shopping center closed. Stores are closing so fast market analysts can’t keep up with the destruction. Forbes has counted over 15,000 closings in 2020 with an estimated 10,000 more in 2021. Some experts are blaming the pandemic for the rapid demise of walk-in retail, others suggest it’s a combination of covid-19 and the sustaining success of digital online shopping. It's hard to argue the latter since the exodus started way back in 2017 before the pandemic, with 8,000 retail stores biting the dust. Even eating and drinking establishments are closing their doors and turning to online orders with the likes of Uber Eats and Door Dash. We needn't feel sorry for the abandoned shopping centers though, looks like Amazon, the largest online retailer in the world is buying them up to be used as distribution centers to make our from computer to door experience all the better. Before you know it we won't have to leave our living rooms to live life to the fullest. We have our phones to keep us company.
Most young adults would call this new digital technology progress. So would I if we lived in a perfect world; unfortunately, the world we live in is ruled by a rogue gang of rebels from another dimension. “The evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world.”(Eph. 6:12) This unholy band of insurgents controls the modern era of technology and intends to use it to overthrow the Kingdom of God. To pull it off they need a system of control over the buying and selling of the general population. Think about it, if you can’t buy, sell, trade, or barter you are enslaved to the government that controls the commerce. “He required everyone—great and small, rich and poor, slave and free—to be tattooed with a certain mark on the right hand or the forehead. And no one could get a job or even buy in any store without the permit of that mark, which was either the name of the Creature or the code number of his name. Here is a puzzle that calls for careful thought to solve it. Let those who are able, interpret this code: the numerical values of the letters in his name add to 666!” (Rev.13:16-18) In this verse, the whole plan of the evil subversion is exposed. It was revealed to John the Apostle two thousand years ago for the sake of this present generation who would be able to discern the code to fit the technology.
Control a person's wealth and you control the person. That’s the plan, and the death of walk-in retail is the first step in the evil plot. Many people will make fun of the notion that an unseen world controls commerce. These are the same people that will be deceived and lose all. “For the love of money is the first step toward all kinds of sin. Some people have even turned away from God because of their love for it, and as a result have pierced themselves with many sorrows.”(1 Tim. 6:10) We live at a time when Bible prophecy is coming alive before our eyes.
