The New World
There is abundant evidence found in the historical record regarding the life and death of Jesus Christ. These accounts are as reliable as any in recorded history. Whereas, the idea that your great uncle was a chimpanzee has absolutely no credible value either scientifically or theoretically. The following verse was chronicled over 500 years before Jesus was born. Within the four lines is captured the essence of our future. It is the world without end, a life of adventure, void of strife, corruption, and death. A world Governed by perfect law and order. Peace and goodwill are the values of people who live there. “For unto us a Child is born, unto us, a Son is given, and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace, there shall be no end” (Isaiah 9:6)
The new world is populated by free moral agents who have surrendered their will to God and have agreed to represent His government in the new Heaven and Earth. For see, I am creating new heavens and a new earth—so wonderful that no one will even think about the old ones anymore.” (Isa. 65:17) It is simply a matter of time before the first Earth that was made imperfect by Adam's transgression passes into oblivion. Have you ever taken a bite of a beautiful shiny red apple only to find out it was mushy on the inside? The corruption starts at the heart and works its way to the surface. It’s a process that eventually ruins the fruit. The earth is going through the same process. The corruption started with one small lie that will ultimately destroy the entire earth as we know it.“The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.” (Psalm 53:1) This destructive condition will continue to accelerate until the earth has totally decayed.
There is good news for all that have accepted the gift of eternal life. We will take our rightful position as a joint heir with Jesus, our elder brother and become part of the administrative body of the ever-expanding universe. It's all in the family,“Heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ.” (Romans 8:17) We will inherit a new world full unimaginable marvel and wonder.
