The 6th Commandment

Disobedience is the act of contempt for the rule of law. Laws are not made to break, for every law disobeyed there is a consequence. One of the first laws a toddler learns is not to touch something hot, the consequence could result in burned fingers. There are natural laws, civil laws, and God’s law. When Adam disobeyed God he was banished from the garden of God and sentenced to outer darkness for eternity. It is a very serious matter to disobey the law of God, the consequence can be ruinous. Adam’s contempt is still ruining lives today. “When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. His sin spread death throughout all the world, so everything began to grow old and die, for all sinned.”(Ro.5:12) You cannot overrule the law of God with civil law, that is the height of foolishness. All of God’s enemies have tried and failed. “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Ro.1:21-22)  Lucifer, the Archangel was cast out of Heaven because he thought himself equal with his creator. When God gave Moses the 10 Commandments He made it clear they were to be followed. “ for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God demanding what is rightfully and uniquely mine, avenging the iniquity of the fathers on the children to account for the sins of their fathers, to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing graciousness and steadfast loving kindness to thousands of generations of those who love Me and keep My commandments”(Ex. 20:6) To disobey the 6th Commandment is particularly egregious when it includes the wholesale murder of newborns. The 6th Commandant declares: “You must not murder.”(Ex. 20:13)

The Governor of New York has written into law a mother’s right to abort her healthy baby if she is mentally distressed at the time of delivery. The New York state law overrides the federal law which states the mother's life must be at risk. In either case, the civil law has overruled the law of God. The arrogant stunt for political leverage by the Governor of New York defies the 6th commandment written by the Governor of the universe. “Before I made you in your mother’s womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I chose you for a special work.” (Jer. 1:5) Science sometimes conflicts with the law of God, but in the case of abortion, validates the truth. A living organism is defined as a system able to move, grow, respond, adapt, carry on a self-regulating metabolism, and reproduce. Within 24 hours of fertilization, the human embryo reaches the two-cell stage, fulfilling all requirements that science defines as life. God told Jeremiah that before he was physically formed, he was spiritually created. Since 1980 over 1.5 billion babies have been aborted worldwide. 85% of mothers in the US aborting their babies are unwed! The consequences have yet to be realized but will assuredly be equal to the offense.
