Babies in Danger
In the beginning, God gave Adam and Eve two directives, be joined together in marriage, male and female, second, have many children to populate the Earth. “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. so God created man in his image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth”(Gen.2:24-1:27-28) There is a serious conflict in our culture today that challenges these very important commandments. Adam and Eve were unique people, they were created, not born. They and their descendants after them were given the critical responsibility to reproduce and grow humankind. All living species were first created male and female and then given the task to reproduce their kind. It answers the question, which came first, the chicken or the egg? Adam and Eve were faithful to God's command and the population of the Earth began to grow exponentially, then something very strange happened!“Now a population explosion took place upon the earth. It was at this time that beings from the spirit world looked upon the beautiful earth women and took any they desired to be their wives.”In those days, and even afterward, when the evil beings from the spirit world were sexually involved with human women, their children became giants, of whom so many legends are told. When the Lord God saw the extent of human wickedness, and that the trend and direction of men’s lives were only towards evil, He was sorry he had made them.”(Gen. 6:1-5) The offspring of this unholy union between women and angels were hybrid and unable to reproduce babies. This was Satan's first attempt to destroy the lineage of Adam's race by stunting its growth. It so infuriated God that He decided to end what He had made and start over again. The flood of Noah was the result of God's wrath.
Satan’s attempt to disrupt what God has made is just one of the many ways he has tried to gain total control of the Earth. His effort to curb the reproduction of humankind has proven to be the most destructive. He tried it again in Sodom using the unnatural desires of the Sodomites. Two angels were dispatched by God to warn Lot of the coming judgment.“That evening the two angels came to the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting near the city gates and saw them.” Lot knowing the evil condition of the city offered to put the visitors up for the night. “Sirs, please come to my house, there you can wash your feet and stay the night. Then tomorrow you can continue your journey.”The angels answered, “No, we will stay the night in the city square. Because the danger of sexual assault was imminent Lot insisted, so they agreed and went with him. “That evening, just before bedtime, men from every part of town came to Lot’s house. They stood around the house and called to Lot. Where are the two men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us. We want to have sex with them. “Lot went outside and closed the door behind him. I have two daughters who have never slept with a man before. I will give my daughters to you, but please don’t do anything to these men. They have come to my house, and I must protect them.”(Gen. 19:1-9) The sexual depravity of Sodom and Gomorrah rendered the twin cities non-productive, therefore, not part of God’s plan. God always warns of pending judgment. “The two men said to Lot, “Are there any other people from your family living in this city? If so, you should tell them to leave now. We are going to destroy this city. The Lord heard how evil this city is, so he sent us to destroy it.”(Gen.19:12-13) Much like Noah, Lot could find no one in the city but his immediate family that would heed the warning. “The Lord began to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. He caused fire and burning sulfur to fall from the sky. He destroyed the whole valley—all the cities, the people living in the cities, and all the plants in the valley.”(Gen.19:23-25)
Today we live in the final anything goes revolution that threatens the commandment to be married, male and female, and replenish the Earth with babies. The perversion is widespread by the purveyors of immorality, ignoring the commandments of God. Sexual deviance is accepted on television, in the movies, internet and most disturbing, every smartphone. Jesus made a stark warning to our generations two thousand years ago, comparing our day to the days of Noah. “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When her branch is tender and the leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is almost here. Just so, when you see all these things beginning to happen, you can know that my return is near, even at the doors. Then at last this age will come to its close. The world will be at ease—banquets and parties and weddings—just as it was in Noah’s time before the sudden coming of the Flood; people wouldn’t believe what was going to happen until the Flood actually arrived and took them all away. So shall my coming be.”(Matt.24:32-39) Close to 1 million legal abortions take place every year in the U.S., 40 million worldwide. Our culture is in sad need of a makeover and only Jesus can make it happen. Will you heed the warning or will you be one that accepts the corrupt lifestyles of the day.
