Unrest in America
The reality of the turbulent landscape is hard to ignore. There seems to be discontent at every turn. No lifestyle, race, or culture is absent from the trouble that stalks the human race—learned men of every nationality who have lived through the ages have no explanation for the profane nature of mankind. But wait, there was one man who understood perfectly well why people's character is tainted. “Do you think I have come to give peace to the earth? No! Rather, strife and division! From now on families will be split apart, three in favor of me, and two against—or perhaps the other way around. A father will decide one way about me; his son, the other; mother and daughter will disagree; and her daughter-in-law will spurn the decision of an honored mother-in-law.” (Luke 12:49-56) There are two kinds of people in this world, (1) those who believe Jesus is the Son of God and (2) those who don’t. There is a terrible baptism ahead of me, and how I am pent up until it is accomplished. “ Then he turned to the crowd and said, “When you see clouds beginning to form in the west, you say, ‘Here comes a shower.’ And you are right. “When the south wind blows you say, ‘Today will be a scorcher.’ And it is. Better known as Satan, Lucifer became the unseen ruler of Earth. “in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, (Eph 2:2) The sinful nature is the nature of Satan and the enemy of God. We all possess the sinful nature of the earthly ruler. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Rom. 3:23) The lines of unrest are clearly marked today between Christianity and all other world ideologies and religions including atheism. The condition of the world today is a reminder of what Jesus warned two thousand years ago, a crisis of unparalleled sorrow and trouble. This subject is seldom discussed for fear of offending someone, but it’s a life-changing experience that everyone should consider. Will you or will you not accept Jesus as Lord and Savior?
