School Dilemma
In the next few weeks, children from all walks of life will be going back to school. The vast majority will be attending public schools. If any culture is to make progress, education must be a major consideration. All enlightened civilizations have offered some form of schooling from group learning to a singular teacher-student experience. It wasn’t until 1918 that government-sponsored education became mandatory in the United States. From the late 1700s through the early 1900s education was undertaken in small one-room schools, church back rooms, or at home with emphasis on reading and writing so children could learn to read their Bibles. In many cases, the Bible was the only textbook. Children could learn to read, write, and study early world history all from the same textbook. Generation after generation went through life growing this nation to greatness in small private schools without spending seven hours a day with 30 screaming contemporaries. Many of the founding fathers started their education in small Christian based private schools. “Knowledge begins with fear and respect for the Lord, but stubborn fools hate wisdom and refuse to learn.” (Prov.1:7)
Harvard College was the first school of higher education founded in the 13 colonies, followed by Yale and Princeton. These 3 colleges as well as the remaining ten colonial colleges, better known today as the Ivy League, were founded by Christians teaching Christian principles. “The Lord is the source of wisdom; knowledge and understanding come from his mouth.”(Prov.2:6) Today these citadels of higher education are Godless universities funneling their liberal ideologies into the public urban and suburban school systems throughout the country. They are not alone, most colleges and universities around the world are proud of their Godless belief system. The victims of this unholy attack are our children, who are taught they are descendants of monkeys and predestined to go the way of all dead monkeys.
In light of the covid-19 dilemma, parents will have to decide whether or not to send their children back to school this fall. Some will have no choice, some will. Unfortunately, the virus is just one of many problems plaguing compulsory education. The public school system may be the worst place a child can be. Not only have they taken God out of public schools, but by doing so they have created an unruly environment that feeds racism, bullying, and discrimination. God has made a wonderful promise to young people: “I love those who love me, And those who seek me early and diligently will find me. Riches and honor are with me, Enduring wealth and righteousness”(Prov. 8:17-18) And a promise to parents as well: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Prov.22:6) For more about a life with God read “Beam me up Commander” it’s free!
