Can God be Proven to Exist?
The answer is yes! The problems arise when we try to prove God exists to a nonbeliever. Truth in the material world is something observed. God is a spirit and cannot be seen. Therefore, His existence is considered a theory or myth by doubters. God must be experienced in the spirit realm rather than the material realm. Every human being is born with three characteristics: a physical body, a spirit, and a soul. The physical body relates to the material world, the spirit relates to God, and our soul (personality) can relate to both worlds. God is personal and embraces a personal relationship through the spirit to anyone who is willing to believe Him. When a person accepts God for who He is, He, in turn, reveals himself to them through the spirit realm. The Bible consists of two parts, history and message. The message is revealed from God’s Spirit to our spirit; the history is a record of the struggle people have believing the message.
When a person believes the message without a doubt, God will prove Himself to that person without a doubt. Scripture is clear, to receive anything from God one must not doubt.”Do any of you need wisdom? Ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to everyone. So he will give you wisdom. But when you ask God, you must believe. Don’t doubt him. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is blown up and down by the wind. People like that are thinking two different things at the same time. They can never decide what to do. So they should not think they will receive anything from the Lord. ”(Ja. 1:5-7) Faith with patience produces results that validate Gods existence. “We don’t want you to be lazy. We want you to be like those who, because of their faith and patience, will get what God has promised.” (Heb, 6:12) It is foolish to try and convince someone else God exists if you are not convinced yourself!
To receive the kind of faith that moves mountains, ask God into your life and then spend as much time in the Bible as you do in the gym or romance novels or whatever your pastimes may be. As you read the history, the Spirit of God will connect with your spirit and cause your faith to soar like eagles. “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”(Isa.40:31) You can be convinced God is real by giving Him time to prove Himself.
